Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Color Kingdom Coloring app (previously named Color Kingdom) for iPhone, iPad and Android collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Color Kingdom Coloring does not ask you to create an account, and we never ask for your name, email address, photos or contacts.

What Stays on Your Device

  • Your coloring: the pages you color, your finished pages in My Gallery, your favorites, your mixed colors and your settings are stored on your device. They are not uploaded to us.
  • Your own pages: PDF files you import are stored on your device. Their contents and file names are never sent to us.
  • Reminders: if you turn on notifications, the app can remind you about a page you started or about new pages when you have not opened it for a few days. These reminders are created on your device. The app does not send us anything to do this, and the reminders do not depend on analytics or advertising.

Information Collected When You Use the App

Color Kingdom Coloring uses services from Google and Apple to deliver coloring pages, show ads, and help us understand how the app is used. Through these services, the following is collected:

  • App activity (analytics): we use Google Analytics for Firebase to learn which features and pages people use. This includes which catalog pages are opened, colored, finished, printed or added to favorites; how long a coloring session lasts; words typed into the app's search; whether the No Ads screen was opened or a purchase was made; whether you turned notifications on when asked, and whether a notification was used to open the app; and how often and how long the app is used. Pages you import yourself are counted only as "imported".
  • Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, and an approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address.
  • App identifier: a random identifier created for this installation of the app. It is not your name, Apple ID, Google account or phone number, and it is reset if you delete and reinstall the app.
  • Advertising information: if you have not removed ads, Google AdMob collects information needed to show and measure ads, such as your IP address, device information, and which ads were shown or tapped.
  • Notification token: if you allow notifications and leave "New pages" switched on, Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging (and, on iPhone and iPad, Apple's push notification service) create a token that identifies this installation of the app, so that news about new coloring pages can be delivered to your device. The token is not your name, Apple ID, Google account or phone number. It is not created unless you allow notifications, it is not used for advertising, and every device receives the same messages.
  • Downloads: when you download a coloring page, your device connects to Google's servers to fetch it, which involves your IP address, and we keep a count of how many times each page has been downloaded.

Color Kingdom Coloring does not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, and does not use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). On Android, Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase may use your device's Android advertising ID, a resettable identifier provided by Google Play services, to show and measure ads. You can reset or delete it at any time (see Your Choices).

How We Use This Information

  • To provide the catalog of coloring pages and keep the app working
  • To understand which pages and features people enjoy, so we know what to make next
  • To find and fix problems
  • To tell you about new coloring pages, if you have turned notifications on
  • To show ads in the free version of the app and measure how they perform

We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising

The free version of Color Kingdom Coloring shows ads provided by Google AdMob. We ask Google to show only ads rated for general audiences (up to "PG"). Ads may be chosen using general information such as your approximate location and device type.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your choices about ads before showing them. You can change your answer at any time: tap the No Ads button (or the gear, if you have removed ads) and choose Privacy Choices. App activity (analytics) follows the same choice: in these regions it is collected only if you consent, and it stops if you later withdraw your consent.

On iPhone and iPad, ads use Apple's SKAdNetwork, which lets advertisers learn that an ad led to an app install without identifying you.

Purchases

Remove Ads is a one-time purchase made through Apple on iPhone and iPad, or through Google Play on Android. Apple or Google handles the payment; we never see your payment details. We only learn that the purchase was made, so the app can turn ads off.

Third-Party Services

The services below process the information described above under their own privacy policies:

How Long Information Is Kept

Your coloring stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Analytics information held by Google is kept for no longer than 14 months. A notification token is kept only while notifications about new pages are turned on, and is replaced if you delete and reinstall the app. Ad information is kept by Google according to its own policies.

Your Choices

  • Remove ads: the Remove Ads purchase turns off all ads and the information collected to show them.
  • Ad and analytics choices in Europe and the UK: use Privacy Choices in the app, as described above.
  • Notifications: the app asks before sending notifications. You can turn Reminders and New pages off separately at any time in the app (tap the No Ads button, or the gear if you have removed ads, and look under Notifications), or turn all notifications off on your device's settings (on iPhone and iPad, Settings > Notifications > Color Kingdom; on Android, Settings > Apps > Color Kingdom > Notifications). Turning New pages off, or turning notifications off on your device, stops the app from using a notification token.
  • Apple's ad settings: on your device, open Settings > Privacy & Security to review Tracking and Apple Advertising settings.
  • Android's ad settings: on Android, open Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads) to reset or delete your advertising ID and review Google's ad privacy settings.
  • Delete your data: you can remove any page and its coloring in the app. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device and resets the app identifier.
  • Questions or requests: depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to, or deletion of, information about you. Contact us at the address below and we will help.

Children's Privacy

Color Kingdom Coloring is made for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account or ask for personal details. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date.
